Why it exists
Ordinary shared calendars offer nothing between “show everything” and “show nothing”, so even close people end up trading “when next week works for you?” several times over. WhenWeave builds the space in between: your calendar stays yours, others see only as much as you decide, and the machine finds the time you share.
Sharing is enforced by the server
For every event, and for every group you share with (a Space), you choose one of three:
- Private — the default. Not even its existence is visible.
- Busy only — just that you are busy then. Title, place and notes are never sent.
- Share details — title, time and place. Notes are always yours alone.
Turn on “Share my availability” for a Space and your busy time enters that Space’s day comparison and free-time search as merged blocks only. Because the server holds the rule, there is nothing more to find by taking the app apart.
One event, never copies
The same trip never exists twice, once in the couple’s calendar and once in the family’s, drifting apart. An event exists once; each Space only differs in how much of it is shown. An event created by accepting a proposal is likewise one: both people look at the same thing.
