Questions
What are full-width and half-width?
Full-width characters take the width of one kanji; half-width ones take half. Japanese forms often want names in full-width and phone numbers or postcodes in half-width.
Are kanji, hiragana or Hangul changed?
No. They have no half-width forms and are left as they are.
What about voiced katakana?
Half-width ｶﾞ (two characters) becomes full-width ガ (one), and the other way round.
Which symbols are converted?
ASCII symbols and their full-width forms; with katakana on, also 。「」、・ー.
Is my text saved?
No. It is converted in your browser only.
