Is my image uploaded?
No. It is processed on a canvas inside your browser and never sent or stored.
Which sizes do I need?
Browser tabs use 16 and 32 px; Windows uses 48 px and up. 16, 32, 48 and 256 cover most needs.
What is inside the ICO?
Each size as a PNG, which current browsers and Windows Vista and later read.
How do I add it to HTML?
Most browsers find /favicon.ico on their own; to be explicit, use <link rel="icon" href="/favicon.ico">.
