Online timer & Pomodoro
Set a time and start; the remaining time also shows in the tab title. Turn on Pomodoro to cycle focus and breaks automatically.
How to use
- Enter a time or pick a preset and press Start. 25 means 25 minutes; 5:30 means 5 minutes 30 seconds.
- The tab title shows the time left even while you are in another tab.
- With Pomodoro on, 25 minutes of focus alternate with 5-minute breaks, and every fourth break lasts 15 minutes.
Questions
Does it stay accurate in a background tab?
Yes. It keeps the end time and works out what is left, so browser throttling does not delay it; the display catches up when you return.
There is no sound.
Browsers only allow sound after you interact with the page, which pressing Start does. A muted device stays silent.
What is the Pomodoro technique?
Focus on one task for 25 minutes, rest for 5, and take a longer break after four rounds.
What if I close the page?
The timer stops. Nothing is saved.
Does it send notifications?
Not yet: sound and the tab title only.
