How to use
- Pick a date and the cities. The third city is optional.
- Set working hours for each city. They start at 9:00–18:00.
- The strip runs 24 hours from midnight in the first city; the hours when everyone works are in the bottom row and listed below.
Questions
Is daylight saving taken into account?
Yes. Each cell uses the offset at that instant from the time zone data built into your browser (IANA), so the chosen date's daylight saving applies. On a changeover day the strip still shows 24 cells from midnight in the first city.
What if a shift runs past midnight?
Set the end earlier than the start. Start 22, end 6 is treated as a night shift.
What about zones with half-hour offsets, like India?
Cells are whole hours, and a cell counts as working only when the whole hour is inside working hours. The overlap can therefore look up to 30 minutes shorter than it is.
My city is not in the list.
The list has major cities only. Pick another city in the same time zone, or choose "This device's time zone".
Are my cities or hours saved?
No. Nothing is saved or sent. Reopen the page and it starts fresh.
